The twin oaks are two tremendous oak trees with two trunks each. They have have shaded and sheltered the cottage since it was built in 1906.
The Screened Porch
The screened porch is a great place to relax in a chair, take in the view, chat with family and friends, or have an indoor meal picnic. The sofa is great for naps or enjoying the moon, stars, loons, and waves lapping on the shore.
Upstairs
Upstairs are three bedrooms and a central sitting/reading/play area affording simple, comfortable privacy. The roof frames are exposed, creating a wonderful old-camp atmosphere. Screened windows give views of woods and water, and let in the cool breezes . Two rooms have queen-size beds and one room has two twin beds. All have bureaus, nightstands, and reading lights.
The Main Living Area
In the large front room there is a living room area centered on a Vermont Castings Defiant fireplace/woodstove. A couch, chairs, and tables provide a cozy and comfortable retreat for evenings and indoor weather.

On the other end is another couch and a dining table for serving sit-down meals and playing board games.
The Kitchen
The kitchen is a full size room with old style sink, counter, and cupboards. There is a small table with chairs for food preparation or eating. Modern appliances include a stove and refrigerator.

Small appliances include a microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. A charcoal grill is available outdoors. Lake water is used for everything but drinking. Drinking water is brought to the camp in large bottles.
The Bathroom
The modern bathroom adjoins the kitchen and has a vanity sink, medicine cabinet, toilet, and full size tub and shower unit. A skylight lets in plenty of light, and there is an electric heater if the weather is especially cool. There is plenty of hot water for showers, and the lake water is a natural hair softener!
